Cheesy Green Bean Casserole

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans french style green beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (3 ounce) can french-fried onions, divided
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cheddar cheese soup
  • 3/4 cup milk (preferably whole milk)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
  • 2 drain and rinse beans (my mother always taught me to do this when using canned green beans, to get rid of the "can taste").
  • 3 in 1 1/2 to 2 quart casserole dish, mix together milk and cheese soup.
  • 4 stir in drained beans.
  • 5 stir in half the french fried onions.
  • 6 place in preheated oven and cook 30-35 minutes (use the longer time if you like them a little thicker).
  • 7 sprinkle remaining french fried onions over the top.
  • 8 return to oven for 5 more minutes.
  • 9 serve hot.
