Buffalo Chilli

Ingredients

- 1 lb ground buffalo meat
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 (10 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
- 1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes
- 1 cup low-sodium v8 juice
- 2 (14 ounce) cans baked beans (in tomato sauce)
- 1 (28 ounce) can kidney beans
- 1/4 cup ground flax seeds
Recipe
- 1 in a dutch oven, brown ground bison on med-high.
- 2 add 3 cloves of garlic, 2 tbsp of chilli powder onion, and green pepper. cook for about 4 minutes.
- 3 add tomato soup, canned tomatoes and v8. allow to return to a simmer.
- 4 add rinsed kedney beans, and both cans of baked beans.
- 5 simmer for at least 15 minutes, or add to a slow cooker, and cook as long as you like.
- 6 add ground flax, remaining chilli powder, and garlic just before serving.
