Chicken In A Hurry

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 (3 lb) roasting chickens, cut in pieces
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (not garlic salt!)
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 large onions, sliced in 1/2-inch rings
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 sprinkle chicken pieces with garlic and black pepper.
  • 3 lay onion rings in bottom of a casserole. place chicken on top.
  • 4 in a bowl, combine ketchup, water, worcestershire sauce, cider vinegar, brown sugar and onion soup mix. pour over chicken and onions. cover dish with aluminum foil.
  • 5 bake in preheated oven 30 minutes. remove foil and bake another 30 minutes or until cooked through.
