Cooked Yogurt (cooked Laban)

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 1 1/2 quarts homemade arabic yogurt (i have a recipe posted for this)
  • 1 egg (or 1 tbs cornstarch)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon dried mint (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 mix the homemade laban well with egg and salt, always stirring in the same direction. boil gently until it is of a rich, creamy consistency resembling gravy.
  • 2 while laban is boiling, brown garlic in butter and pour over laban.
  • 3 sprinkle the crushed, dried mint on top and let boil together for 5 minutes.
  • 4 serve as is or it can be used in other dishes!
