Chicken Velvet Soup

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 6 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup light cream
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, finely chopped
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter. stir in flour to blend.
  • 2 slowly add milk, light cream, and chicken broth, stirring constantly until smooth.
  • 3 bring to a boil.
  • 4 reduce heat and stir in chicken. add cayenne, salt and pepper.
  • 5 return to boiling and serve immediately.
