Cream Of Corn Soup

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons bacon bits
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 (16 ounce) can cream-style corn
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery salt

Recipe

  • 1 in a small skillet, melt butter and saute the chopped onion until tender but not brown.
  • 2 stir in the flour; add the milk, cooking and stirring constantly, for 3 minutes or until smooth and thick.
  • 3 stir in corn and bring almost to a boil.
  • 4 add the seasonings and bacon bits.
