Cream Of Mushroom Soup

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup cream

Recipe

  • 1 in a large saucepan, combine mushrooms, onion and chicken broth. cook over high heat 1 minute decrease heat to low and simmer (covered) for 15 minute
  • 2 melt butter and stir in flour to make a paste. add paste to mushroom mixture and stir. turn heat up to medium and slowly add milk, stirring constantly.
  • 3 when mixture thickens and begins to boil, add cream and stir. cook gently until mushrooms are tender. season with salt and peper to taste.
