Chinese Beef 'n Greens

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb round steak (1/4 inch thick)
  • 1/2 lb carrot, sliced diagonally in 1 inch pieces
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, sliced
  • 1 dash ground ginger
  • 2 cups broccoli (1 inch pieces)
  • 2 cups chopped celery (one inch pieces)
  • 2 cups chopped green peppers (1 inch pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 (8 ounce) can cream of onion soup or 1 (8 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon soya sauce

Recipe

  • 1 freeze meat and remove to make slicing easier.
  • 2 slice into long thin strips.
  • 3 cook carrots and onion with garlic and giner for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • 4 add rest of vegetables.
  • 5 cook 2 mins til tender.
  • 6 remove vegetables.
  • 7 add beef.
  • 8 cook until slightly browned.
  • 9 add soup, water and soya.
  • 10 heat, stirring.
  • 11 add vegetables.
  • 12 serve over rice.
