Creamy Citrus Sauce Lamb Chops

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 -6 lamb chops (boneless and thick)
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons orange zest
  • 1/2 cup wine (go for a sweet one)
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup (i use the low fat or sodium)
  • salt
  • black pepper

Recipe

  • 1 chop onion and set aside.
  • 2 heat oil in large high sided pan over medium heat.
  • 3 salt and pepper each chop, put in hot oil.
  • 4 cook about 3 minutes on each side or until nicely browned.
  • 5 to the pan add the orange juice, zest, onion, and wine.
  • 6 reduce heat to low (simmer) cover and cook for 15 minutes.
  • 7 after 15 minutes remove lamb chops from pan. put them on a serving platter and cover with foil to keep warm.
  • 8 add the cream of mushroom soup to the pan and whisk constantly over medium heat until the sauce is thickened.
  • 9 pour over chops.
