Chili Chops

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 6 lamb chops
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 can condensed tomato soup, undiluted
  • 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can kidney beans, undrained
  • 1/2 cup sliced onion
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 6 slices green bell peppers, cut in rings
  • hot cooked rice

Recipe

  • 1 heat oil in a large ovenproof skillet.
  • 2 brown chops; drain.
  • 3 remove chops from skillet and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • 4 in the same skillet, add soup, beans, onion, chili powder, and garlic powder.
  • 5 place chops over the sauce; cover and bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes or until tender.
  • 6 place a green bell pepper ring on top of each chop and bake, uncovered for 10 minutes.
  • 7 serve chops and sauce over hot cooked rice.
